Regions
Learn what a region is and how to best utilize regions in your organization.
Access to certain features is restricted based on role type in an effort to reduce item exposure and promote process integrity. Please see the member role description page for information on permissions.
A region is a container that holds your organization’s exam delivery program. Regions are created for you by Kryterion.
What is a region?
All clients will have at least one region and have the option to utilize multiple regions if there is a need or desire to manage different programs. One region is sufficient for many use cases, however, here a couple of examples of when multiple regions may be useful:
Your organization hosts several different certification programs that are functionally or legally distinct
Your organization operates internationally and seeks to manage programs by language or country
Regions are fully independent and self-contained, protecting their respective security. If your organization maintains multiple regions, you will not be able to transfer any rules, items, test forms, exams, or brand elements between regions.
Additionally, access to regions is managed within respective regions as a Site Administrator is the only Webassessor role that has access to information across all regions. All other member roles* are limited to the specific region in which they are created.
